Degenerative Disc Disease

Degenerative disc disease refers to a ‘wear and tear’ of the discs that results in disc thinning and deterioration. Disc narrowing causes the disc to bulge out, and the nerve opening to narrow, thus allowing impingement and irritation of the spinal nerve. This types of problem can be treated by chiropractors who can mobilize the spine and prescribe core exercises to strengthen the spine.
